Since 2013, when I started my intensive field work on Persian leopards in north-eastern Iran, I was accompanied by a crew from the Wildlife Pictures Institute, an award winning wildlife documentary production company in Iran to create a new series, called “Operation Leopard”.
In 13 episodes, the series provides a first-hand and original outlook of how we studied Persian leopards for over 8 years in northeastern Iran, particularly focused on live trapping of leopards to fit them with satellite telemetry trackers.
In early January 2023, we completed the final shootings of the series, which is now currently aired at the Iran’s national TV’s documentary channel on Fridays 10 PM (Tehran time).
